The pin that was made looked like that because veterans should feel proud and they deserve a huge amount of thanks for their bravery and sacrifice so we can live.The colors that were chosen were purple,red,white,blue, and yellow.The reason purple made it was because purple is the color of the purple heart award which is awarded when a soldier made their sacrifice and got injured or died.The colors red,white, and blue where chosen because those are the colors that represent veterans day and America.Yellow was added to the mix because yellow ribbons represent men and women serving in the armed forces right now.A circle with red,white,and blue stripes in the middle was meant to represent America and veterans day.The two yellow stars represent the stars on the flag, and the original 13 colonies.
