Eternal Flame of Liberty

My pin is based around the main imagery of a torch. The torch has multiple meanings, with it representing the eternal want by man to be free, to have will, to be able to live as they please, and the brave heroes who protect and uphold our democracy. The torch also represents the sacrifice and risk that veterans have made, which could have easily cost them their lives. The colors of the pin are used to symbolize the flag of the United States, which is a very common symbol to honor veterans. The flame of the torch embodies the idea that veterans and those who died tragically in combat will always be remembered, thus the “eternal” flame. The text surrounding the torch says “Liberty cannot remain alight without sacrifice”. This statement displays that the United States cannot exist without veterans and its brave military.
