Blossom of Appreciation

Valorus. Humble. Courageous. Determined. Hardworking. These are just some words that come to mind when thinking about the veterans of our country. Millions of people who have served go on normally each day, as if they hadn't offered up their time and well-being for us. They deserve to understand how much their sacrifices mean to everyone. From this idea stems Veteran's Day, though a brief and disproportionate period compared to what they've done for us. Even if they merit more appreciation, we can make small actions to show that we care. This pin has fifty stars circling its rim, representing American pride. In the center, we have a poppy- standing in memorial of all the wonderful lives lost in service. Finally, the words "United States of America Veteran" surround the flower. Essentially, my pin tries to encapsulate the gratitude that we feel for our veterans. Thank you for your service.
