The Rose of Thanks

My pin contains an eagle holding a rose in its mouth. The pin says "gratius tibi", which means thank you in Latin. The whole pin is surrounded by stars. Eagles symbolize courage, bravery, and freedom. They have also been the national bird of the United States since it became a country. Roses symbolize compassion, love, and gratitude. And finally, stars symbolize guidance and protection. These are qualities all veterans possess, and that's why they're decorated on the pin.
