Veterans Day pin design

I came up with my design one day at lunch when I was talking to my friends. We were actually discussing this project and coming up with different creative designs. We were just sketching them out on our iPads. My original idea was to draw a whole person behind the American flag, but after I had sketched that one, I didn’t like it very much. I tried drawing multiple variations of my design, one with just the hat, one with a full body, and one with the uniform folded up. After a while, I finally came to this design.
