My pin represents a veteran kneeling at the gun, helmet, and boots of another soldier. He is kneeling there because he is respecting what the soldier did. It is also supposed to represent what soldiers will give for their own country. There is an American flag at the top of the pin. The pin is also in the shape of a shield, representing how the soldiers protect their country. Many soldiers die in combat, serving their country and this pin is supposed to represent how hard it is to recover from losing a friend that worked and served with you. The shield also represents how they protect our freedoms and the things we get that many other countries do not have. Veterans have given a lot to our country and have been through so much from losing friends, almost dying themselves, to protecting our country with their soul.
