Thanking Veterans

The pin that I designed for this contest is in the shape of a circle. The pin has thirteen stripes covering it. Seven red and six white. These stripes represent the stripes on the American flag. The red and white stripes on the American flag represent the original thirteen colonies of our country. In the middle of the pin there is a thicker blue stripe to separate the stripes in half ; so there are six red and white stripes above the blue stripe and seven red and white stripes below. On this blue stripe there are 50 stars representing the 50 stars on our country’s flag. The 50 stars represent the 50 states of the United States of America. Over top of this blue stripe with stars is white text saying, “Thank you Veterans” to show thanks to the men and women who risk their lives for our country.
