My veteran service pin does not have a specific meaning behind it. Though it has no meaning unlike a poppy, it still has significance. My pin has the words WE HURT, SO YOU CAN LIVE. I chose this simple term because it tells how the veterans and serving members hurt so that the people like us have freedom and don't have to fight. Thousands of veterans have been hurt so that we can live and have the lives that we want. The background of my pin is a checkered blue and red to show my support of America and the military.
