Veterans Day is celebrated on November 11th every year. Veterans Day was founded when World War one ended. It was created to commemorate the end of World War 1 one as the “War to end all wars” But unfortunately World War two broke out only a few years later. In 1954 Dwight D. Eisenhower ( the 34th president) signed the bill to make Veterans day a national holiday. In 1968, American leaders decided to move Veteran’s Day to the last Monday of October. But many Veterans disagreed and thought it would change the meaning, so in 1975 President Gerald Ford changed Veteran’s Day back to November 11th. The tomb is in Arlington, Virginia. Veterans Day is celebrated every year on November 11th, and is a honorable holiday to celebrate the Veterans of our country
