Forever Protecting and Serving

My pin, titled "Forever Protecting and Serving," is meant to represent how Veterans are known to serve and protect. Protecting implies that veterans have risked their lives while in service. They continue to defend our country in several ways long after they no longer wear a uniform; it could be even as small as stopping while a pedestrian is crossing the street. Serving, however, represents how in little or big ways, veterans are always lending a helping hand to our country and its people. Service can be volunteering at a food pantry, donating to a charity, or supporting disabled veterans. In summary, each veteran has sworn to "support and defend" my pin design was created to show appreciation and recognition for the small things that veterans do to keep this oath every day.
