A Veterans Memories

For my pin, I had asked my uncle what was one of the things he remembered the most while serving in the war against Iraq. The two that popped out the most to me were combat boots and an army tag necklace. Since every day they had to wear these items I assumed most veterans would have a memory of them for every day they fought for our freedom. I decided for the base of my pin design to make a silhouette of combat boots with a dog tag necklace hanging. Believing they should all be thanked, low rank, high rank, female, male I added silhouettes of a female, male, and commander veterans. My pin is to thank veterans for their service, and to emphasizes how much we appreciate the things they had to do every day and the memories they had to keep, because freedom is not free.
