Veterans should be honored because they fought to keep us free. They sacrificed all they had for us. I chose a big red star in the middle to show that whoever is a veteran is a star! I also chose for the star to be red because red means sacrifice, danger, and courage. All the things the veterans do represents sacrifice, courage, and danger. I made a circle because veterans don’t always circle back home. I made the circle a pretty blue background (the main color of the pin) because blue represents so many wonderful things. For example, intuition, imagination, sensitivity, and freedom. We all know that freedom really is never free. It also shows that veterans can be sensitive because they have feelings too. Freedom is never free so thank a veteran today.
