My veterans pin has a circular yellowish-gold base, a curved American flag, red, white, and blue cursive letters that spell “thank you for your service”, and a white ring that surrounds the rest of the design. I did a circular yellowish-gold base because gold typically symbolizes triumph and achievement. So by using yellowish-gold I acknowledged all they have done. I made an American flag because the veterans are American, and I made it curved because it looks like it is blowing in the wind. I did red, white, and blue cursive letters because they are the colors of the American flag. They are cursive letters because cursive is elegant. I did a ring because it makes the design look more put together. The ring is white because white is one of the colors of the American flag.
