The heart in my pin represents both a purple heart, an award given to a veteran who was discharged because they were injured in the war, and the love and gratitude that we feel for these veterans. The words “Honor, Sacrifice, Bravery” represent the honor that these vets deserve, the sacrifice that they made, and their bravery in doing so. The colors and eagle are all common portrayals of America’s freedom, the freedom that the vets gave their lives to protect.
