Veteran Day Pin

For my pin, I chose to make six stars to represent the six branches of the military, and I used stars because they are part of the American flag, and America is the country that our veterans serve. I did add a heart with a star in the center as one of the six stars to say how much people appreciate what veterans do for us in their service, and how our hearts fill with gratitude for what veterans continue to do for us. They give so much more than they get. I did write “Thank you” but with a purple heart instead of the letter “o” in the word “you” because the Purple Heart award is given to some veterans who have suffered a wound during service. The base of my pin is blue to be patriotic.
