My Veteran Pin

Symbols used: Eagle, heart, calendar with the number “11” on it, banner with the words “United States” on it The eagle symbol is there to represent the fierce beauty and proud independence of the bird and symbolizes the strength and freedom of America. The hearts represent my love for the country. The calendar with the number “11” is there to represent the universal recognition of the celebrated ending of WWI fighting at 11 am, November 11, 1918 I appreciate veterans because veterans fought for our freedom and risked their lives for people that they have never met. Without the service of veterans we would not have the freedom that we have today. I appreciate veterans because they serve our country no matter the cost or what might happen. Veterans often have to leave their families and everything else behind in order to protect us and our country.
