In the process of creating my pin, I thought about all of my uncles on my dads side who have served in the military. They were the inspiration for my design. Since they were the inspiration for my design, I acknowledged their bravery and courage by serving for the U.S. and was thankful for that. Because of this, I added “honored veterans” to salute the veterans and show them they are important and respected.
