Veteran Appreciation Pin

To me, a veteran is someone who has given up an immeasurable amount to proudly serve and protect their country. To show appreciation to them, and all that they have given up for this country, I created a pin to say thank you. The pin’s main background is an American flag, which represents our country which they have proudly served. Replacing the fifty stars, though, are the words “I served” and six gold stars in a circle. The words show that whoever wears the pin is a veteran, and appreciation is due. The six gold stars represent the six branches of the U.S. military and are shaped in a circle as the circle represents unity. In the bottom right corner is a red poppy, which is the official flower given to veterans in appreciation on Veterans Day.
