The Flower of Freedom

Capturing the essence of America means encapsulating bravery (red), purity (white), and freedom (blue). The people who protect this essence are Veterans. The idea of showing one’s appreciation for someone who has protected the inherit freedoms that individuals like myself have become so accustomed to, is a hard task to say the least. My attempt at this relied upon symbols and coloring. Specifically, shape of a flower; shown in green to represent new beginnings and symbolize the infinite blossoming of America ideals. Crawling up the flower is a snake, meant to represent the enemies faced, with a sword going through the evil, symbolizing the protection that out veterans provide. An America eagle in the center of the flower, (our nations symbol), with a ribbon, showing the grief felt around the world when a solider has fallen. Topped off with “Hero” written in bold letters because that is who they are.
