Dove Veteran Pin Design

When creating my pin design, I thought of an interesting and different way to create a pin that wasn't so in your face with American memorabilia but instead focused more on a sort of overall symbol of how I see veterans. When I was in the design phases I made the overall symbol of a dove tightly holding on to a ribbon that keeps its nest together as a way of saying that veterans keep us safe and are the reason, we as Americans have so much freedom because of the effort they placed into defending our country. Some other symbols I used though not to an extreme to overpower the main design was ribbons which were tightly strapped around the nest as a way of showing the strength the veterans must have be able to defend the country; the thorns surrounding the nest also represent the strength of America.
