The Poppy Of Appreciation

My pin shows appreciation to veterans by showcasing symbols that represent Veterans Day. First, I chose the colors red, white, and blue. Red represents hardiness and valor, blue represents perseverance, justice, and vigilance, and white is purity and innocence. The red poppy is there to showcase our appreciation for the sacrifices made by veterans. It symbolizes the blood shed at battle after a poem was written by John McCrae. The gold stars are there to honor those that have passed during their time serving. Families who have had a veteran related to them pass away display a gold star service flag. Finally, “Thank you vets” is there to show our appreciation towards all the veterans. They have sacrificed so much for our country and we will all be forever grateful.
