I decided to make this design because I wanted to honor the veterans who have served for our country. I wanted to make the pin color blue to represent one color on the American flag. I wanted to do this quote so I could honor the veterans and make them feel appreciated. I decided to put stars on my pin because there are stars on the American flag and I wanted to include those. I decided to color them white because the stars on the American flag are white. I didn't want to put an American flag because I thought many people would do that and I wanted to be different from everyone. So instead I wanted to include the colors on the American flag.
