The Starts of Service

Veterans should be honored every day because they have gone through so much to keep our country safe and our liberties protected. Every day when they were gone, fighting for us, they did not get to see their family or friends back home. We get these things every day, and we take them for granted. Our veterans should be honored for making these sacrifices for us. The symbols mean a lot in this pin. I chose the star because stars are a beacon of light and hope. Our veterans were those same things when they were fighting for our country. I chose the shield because the shield was used to protect people, like our veterans protected us. The colors also mean a lot. I used blue to represent the perseverance our veterans have. The red represents how courageous they were. Finally, the white shows how they sacrificed everything for us.
