V Stands For Veteran

In my pin, a poppy is placed into the grass. The poppy means to remember those close to your heart, those who protect without reason. Poppy means peace, love, and remembrance. The other noticeable object in my pin is the American flag. Just like the poppy, the American flag stands for love, and for freedom. I’m sure all of us know that the 50 stars represent the 50 states. But the red and white stripes represent the original 13 colonies. They represent the fight for your freedom, for our independence. The 7 red stripes symbolize valor (Valor’s definition is “great courage in the face of danger, especially in battle.”-Google) The 6 white stripes symbolize purity. (Purity’s definition is “freedom from adulteration or contamination.”-Google) And finally, the blue on the flag symbolizes loyalty (Loyalty’s definition is a “strong feeling of support or allegiance.”-Google)
