Veterans Day Essay

I think veterans should be honored because they risked their lives to serve their country. They left their families. Veterans Day is special to me because my dad served in the United States Marines. His dad was a Marine also. I made my pin look like an airplane because they use airplanes in the military. When people think of the military, they think of transportation by airplane or boat. I used the star for my propeller because it looked like one and because it looked like a medal military members could receive. My pin also says, “Thank you for what you did.” I used red, white, blue, and black. Red, white, and blue are colors people think of when talking about the United States of America.
