What makes a Hero

I designed my pin to represent all branches of the military. I included two traits that I believe all veterans have, strength and bravery, as well as two things they are working for, freedom and honor. In Between the words I added stars. To me, stars are a way to light the path for the people fighting towards home, whether the veteran has passed away or is living. I also added a silhouette of a female soldier saluting. I chose for the soldier to be female because I believe that women deserve more recognition for what they do, in a lot of careers, but especially the military. Lastly, I added a big bold word at the bottom. Hero. The people in the military risk their lives every day to protect the citizens, which mostly consist of total strangers. They might not wear a cape, but they definitely deserve one.
