Stars and Stripes

The design elements I chose for my pin are the characteristics of veterans and how they have helped us. The pin is in the shape of a shield showing the protection Veterans provide, shielding us from harm. The red in the top half is not only red like our flag but how they are citizens of our country, seeming to blend in. But they sacrificed themselves for our country, freedom, safety, and much more. At the bottom half, there are white stars on blue like our flag. Showing they are loyal citizens of America. There is a line that divides the pin into two halves. The line represents those who traveled far away to fight for us. The words in white say U.S. VET. Anyone seeing the pin knows that a Veteran is wearing it. The elements are united. No matter the challenges, they are all of these characteristics.
