What are words that come to mind when you think of veterans? Honnor? Perseverance? Pride? Those are all words that I'd use to describe them. My pin has those words with a red background, blue words and a white star on the side to tie it all together. I choose these colors because it symbolizes the American flag. The red symbolizing honor, blue symbolizing perseverance and then lastly the white star symbolizing innocence. I think I make my message very clear because at the top of the pin it says “veterans ARE” letting you know that I know that veterans are perseverance, they are honor and they are pride. They persevered during wars and were away from their families. They Are honored because of the risk they took.
