Appreciation

When I started out making my pin, I knew I wanted to add the American flag because veterans serve in order to protect America. Instead of only adding things from a certain branch of the military, I didn’t add anything for any of them because I wanted all branches of the military to feel included in the pin. Next, I wanted to add words that directly tell them that we are thankful for the vets and I did keep in mind that the phrase “Thank you Veterans” is used a lot, we do thank the vets and I thought of saying that directly instead of trying to make a confusing original phrase. In addition to that, I made the words red, white, and blue because those are the colors of the American flag and it felt fitting to use the same colors as the flag for the words.
