Veterans across the U.S. sacrifice everything to make our country safe. To thank them, we show support in any way possible. For my pin, I wrote key characteristics around the outside edges of the pin to describe all veterans; daring, bravery, sacrifice, fearless, and courage. Lots of soldiers feel lost when returning home, so I wanted to show them they mattered. In the middle of the pin, I put the silhouette of a soldier. This is because all veterans, whether they faced combat or not, served our country. They should be remembered as soldiers, with great honor. The soldier is colored all black, showing protection and strength. It also shows sadness, which is what lots of veterans feel when they come home. The words on the outside of my pin are blue and red, the colors of the American flag. My pin is for all veterans.
