Protectors of America

When creating my pin, I knew that the best way to think about how veterans impact everyone is what life would be without them. Nobody would be safe and our freedoms would fade away in a heartbeat. This made me pick a shield as the shape. The veterans are the gallant protectors that keep us and our freedoms safe. I then thought that they have been keeping our freedoms safe since the dawn of America, and have and will keep it safe for longer. This then caused me to place an infinity symbol in the center of my pin. I then thought about the sacrifices the veterans and their families had to make. I then chose to fill the rest of the shield with rain which symbolized the hardship that the deployed face, and the tears of loved ones after they hear that a loved one made the ultimate sacrifice.
