Thank you, Veterans!

“Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices.” This quote by Harry Truman shows the appreciation for veterans that’s represented in my pin. My design shows hands forming a heart, with an American flag inside it. The different skin tones of the hands show that we honor veterans from all races and backgrounds. The flag, patriotic colors, and stars represent what veterans are fighting for: freedom for America. Without veterans, we wouldn’t have the country we love and the rights we get. My pin says, “Thank you, Veterans” to clearly display the gratitude our country feels for them. We owe these veterans so much and are so grateful for them. Thank you, veterans, for everything you have done for our country. We will never forget your sacrifice.
