Veterans Pin Submission

Veterans day is a holiday that encompasses all veterans, young or old, active or retired, alive or buried, far or near. A pin covering all veterans would have to represent every branch of the military and the United States. The United States flag is the base of the pin, as it is the base of the military. To honor the branches, the seals of each, hang off the bottom of the United States flag, honoring the service members as well. The shield shows the branches’ collective job of protecting the United States. The shield is white to honor the unknown soldiers who gave their lives to the service and be unrecognized individually. The red, white, and blue United States shows the strength all the states have together as one union, especially the strength shown by the families left behind. All in all, the pin simply, and elegantly honors Veterans Day.
