Gratitude

For my pin, I decided to make the shape a blue heart because it symbolizes love and appreciation, which is how I feel toward veterans. I chose to make the heart blue because the color blue represents trust, loyalty, resilience, and freedom. Veterans have always shown all of these characteristics, and we have our freedom now because of them. The stars throughout my pin represent positivity and renewal. They show how great our veterans are and how thankful we are for them. The text is also meant to be simple, but meaningful. It shows how a simple ‘thank you’ can go a long way with making veterans feel good about themselves. I also chose to have the text alternating between red and blue every letter like the American flag because the background is white. The poppy flower is meant to represent remembrance of those who have served for our country.
