Thank You!

“The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.” — Douglas MacArthur. This quote really stood out to me because of the ending stating “..for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.” That is exactly what I tried to convey through my pin. The elements of my pin: the helmet, the gun, and the flag stand for all they had to face the war with. All they had to hold was a gun and all they had to hear were their own breaths in their ears and gunshots surrounding them. And for all of that I wanted to say thank you, you're the reason we continue to stand today.
