Nation's Shield

The pin is used to represent what veterans stand for. The shield represents how veterans defended this country and the people in it. The soldier saluting is in front of the flag to protect the flag and the people who live under it. The gold accent is used to represent the glory of being a veteran and the value they have to this country. Finally the reason the stars are extended above the rest of the flag is because it is meant to be a symbol of the great people of the United States and the land that our veterans stand to serve.
