Yankee Doodle’s Hat

“Yankee Doodle’s Hat” is a pin representing the bravery of veterans who have kept the United States protected. This pin is covered with red stripes and blue stars as its border, in order to showcase the United States’ flag in a unique way. In addition, the words “We the people, Thank our fellow Veterans” show the appreciation towards the mothers and fathers who have devoted and sacrificed their lives to ensure our country is free and attain martyrdom . The hat is an allusion to Yankee Doodle. Yankee Doodle was a song that became the unofficial anthem for Americans during the Revolutionary War. Yankee Doodle wore a hat that represented an achievement or honor one can be proud of.
