Honor America's Heroes

Veterans Day is important because it allows people to honor those who have sacrificed their lives to protect our country, and also give thanks to all the men and women currently who are serving the country of America. The pin created demonstrates all the colors that America represents. White for purity and innocence, red hardiness and valor, blue signifies vigilance, perseverance, and justice, then there’s gold which shows generosity and compassion. It also contains a famous saying “We don’t know them but we owe them”, meaning that others should credit those who helped America be where it is today. The shapes chosen for the pin were inspired by the army’s pins that they have on their jackets. The shape overall also looks like one of the medals that one would usually earn for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place, except 1st would be gold which is why the star is gold.
