I designed my pin in a way that I think honors all veterans regardless of when or in what branch they joined. The background of the pin is red, a color commonly said to symbolize bravery and strength, fitting for a design honoring those who served. The central element of the pin is a silhouette of a soldier dressed in uniform saluting. I chose to make the figure a silhouette to make it more universal, showing that anyone could be a veteran and deserve the respect that comes with it. Finally, I surrounded the soldier with six stars, which are common designs in the military and, in this case, represent the six branches of the U.S military. Overall, my pin is meant to recognize and respect all who served this country in the military throughout our history.
