The pin “Star Spangled Banner” was designed to represent the Soldier’s whose lives have been taken while they fought in battles like World War 1 ,World War 2,The Korean War, The Vietnam War,etc. Its full design is made to represent the American flag. The main white circle, with red and blue words spelling “Thank you for your service” represent the 13 red and white stripes on the flag, and the words are a thank you to Veterans;alive or dead. The Spangled Banner has a black border with 19 stars; they represent the 50 stars on the original emblem. The reason why the pin represents the American flag is because the thirteen stripes, resting side by side represent the struggle for independence; red stands for valor, white signifies purity and blue represents loyalty. All in all, this is what the pin “Star Spangled Banner” represents.
